Berres Brothers Coffee Roasters

Berres Brothers Coffee Roasters, Inc., chose Maas Brothers Construction as the General Contractor for the construction of their company headquarters, located at 202 Air Park Drive in Watertown. Founded in 1992 and owned by Peter Berres, Berres Brothers Coffee Roasters is a widely recognized small batch coffee roaster with distribution in Midwest grocery and convenience stores, as well as wholesale programs and nationwide online sales. When Berres Brothers came to us with a concept for a new kind of company headquarters—one that would combine a production area and offices with a unique customer experience space—we were eager to take on the challenge.

The new structure houses a 10,700 square foot roasting facility, 2,850 square feet of offices and 1,300 square feet of café and retail space. The clean, modern lines of the building and glass façade create a bright, welcoming experience for visitors. The can’t-miss sign above the front door, featuring the distinctive Berres Brothers coffee cup logo, adds a whimsical touch. The customer experience portion of the building was designed as a one-of-a-kind café and shopping space for coffee lovers looking to purchase coffee beans, gift items, specialty drinks and food items.

Behind the scenes, the large production area allows Berres Brothers to roast more than 1 million pounds of coffee per year. They offer about 100 types of specialty coffees, roasted fresh daily in the facility. The Berres Brothers team of 50 people loves having a bright, spacious, efficient building to work in. Maas Brothers Construction is proud that our hometown coffee company chose us to make their vision of a “coffee mecca” in Watertown a reality.
